An Open Letter to My Husband

Welcome back to The Couples Blog. Today, I am again coming at you guys with something a little different than I normally do. If you read Dalton’s post on Sunday then you would know that Sunday was our 1st wedding anniversary. I honestly do not know where the time has gone. It was a year to remember that is for sure. So, for this post I wanted to write a letter to my amazing husband. I am writing this letter to him to remind him how wonderful and loved he is.

A year has passed since the day my life changed forever. I gained not only a husband but a best friend for as long as I live. I’ve thought about this day many times in the past year and get so over joyed thinking about how magical it was. It was a day devoted to celebrating our love. And now every year on this day I get to devote the day to celebrating how blessed I am to have such an amazing person to share my life with.

Thank you for supporting me through everything and anything.

I don’t always have my life together. Actually, when we first met, I was a bit of a mess. You always believed in me though, even when I didn’t believe in myself. You supported me through school, first full-time job, quitting my first full-time job, being a server and working all kinds of hours, the list goes on. Literally anything we go through you make sure we go through it together and that we never have to face anything alone. Life with you by my side is such a blessing. THANK YOU!

Thank you for working tirelessly to provide for our family.

You never cease to amaze me. Whether you are climbing the ladder at your corporate job or taking on your latest side hustle you give everything 110%. You’ve been the sole provider for our family until just recently. I know that it put a lot of stress and pressure on you and I am sorry for that. You never complained or resented me for it, you just continued to work hard and be that rock. It’ll never be enough but THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for being my best friend.

When seeking a partner in your life always look for someone who can be a lover but also a friend. And oh boy did I find that in you.  You make me laugh harder than I ever thought possible. I know that I can be my goofy self with you and you’ll be just as goofy. It truly is the little moments in life and I am so happy to be married to my best friend.

In the end I just want you to know how grateful I am to have you in my life. And I wanted to say the thank yous that you deserve to hear every day. It’s easy to get wrapped up in life and not tell the people who mean the most to you how special they are. So, Dalton my amazing husband thank you for being you. For being the person, I can always count on. I love you to the moon and back. Happy 1-year anniversary and looking forward to the next eternity.
