Happy Wednesday! I am back with another routine for you. As I mentioned in my last post, I recently landed a full-time job and have been revamping all my routines to fit my new lifestyle. It was a challenge at first, but once I got into a rhythm it made life so much easier and more manageable. So, today I wanted to share my Sunday self-care routine that I’ve been doing to relax and reset for the week ahead.
Why a Sunday Self-Care Routine?
Self-care is the act of doing something beneficial for yourself. It’s doing those things you never have time for. The bike that never gets ridden or the bathtub that never gets used. Sunday self-care is the day to do all these things and more. Pampering yourself to the fullest whatever that means for you.
Benefits of a Sunday Self Care Routine
- Break from stress
- Alone time
- More productive
- Boosts immunity

My Sunday Self-Care Routine
This is the only day out of the week where I let myself sleep in. I am a natural early riser, but that extra hour all snuggled in on a Sunday morning is perfection. This is always the first step in my Sunday self-care routine.
Cooking is a relaxing past time for me. I know it isn’t like that for everyone so if cooking isn’t your thing skip this one. I like to prepare either my breakfasts for the week or my lunches for the week. This just helps me feel less stressed and give me back some time in my day.
I know I have preached exercising many times and here we go again. There are just so many mental benefits of moving your body. It doesn’t have to be a 10K run, even just a half-hour yoga session. Something, anything to get your body moving.
Give yourself the mother of all spa nights. Do the hair mask, the face mask, and the foot mask if you really want. Pamper yourself to the fullest with all your favourites because that’s what Sunday self-care is all about.
I really enjoy that time right before bed when you are winding down. This is the perfect time to soak in a bubble bath or read a good book. Relaxing the mind right before bed will help you in falling asleep and staying asleep.
Go to Bed Early
This one is pretty self-explanatory but getting a good night’s rest can really make or break your day. Try getting to bed an hour before your normal bedtime. Take that time to do your relaxing activity or get in a few extra zzz’s whatever you prefer.
Now your Sunday self-care routine could look very different from mine and that’s ok. Make it your own and do the things that will make your future self happy. I hope you guys got some ideas and are starting to build your own routine. Comment below something you want to add to your Sunday to help you relax. That is all for me I will talk to all of you next week!
