Fall Bucket List for Couples

Fall is right around the corner and boy am I excited for the change of season this year. I love summer but I am really looking forward to chilly days and warm cozy sweaters. So, this week I wanted to share our fall bucket list for couples including our favourite things to do together. If you are looking for a little more fall content check out my fall reading list. Let’s get all pumpkin-spiced up and get into this list.

1. Visit a Corn Maze

Take an afternoon off and get lost in a corn maze with your significant other.

2. Go Apple Picking

We live in Canada and apple picking is a fall staple. Get the ever cringy apple picking picture and just spend an afternoon in the orchard.

3. Bake an Apple Crisp or Pie

Fall baking is my favourite fall activity. There is just something about being in the kitchen on a cool, crisp day. Enjoy this perfect activity with your significant.

4. Decorate Front Porch

I am a sucker for anything cute and fall-themed. Whether you want to do a fall or Halloween front porch design. Let your imagination run away and get creative. Even make it a little competition with your neighbours.

5. Take a Hike

Another staple in the fall is going on a hike. Taking in all the beautiful, coloured leaves. There is something so calming about going on a nice long autumn hike. Especially if you have a furry friend to bring along like we do.

6. Make Chilli or a Hearty Soup

I sound like I spend my whole fall season in the kitchen. It just gets me in the mood to cook and bake. Find a new recipe and make a soup or chilli you will both enjoy. Fun fact: neither Dalton nor myself likes chilli.

7. Go on a Relaxing Sunday Drive

Drives in the fall time are nostalgic for me. Download a great playlist, drive slow and just soak in the scenery. It is so sad the fall season and the beautiful colours are only here for such a short time.

8. Carve Pumpkins

A classic that I hope everyone was planning to do this year. Make it a competition with your significant other and post your creations on Instagram for your friends to vote on the best one.

9. Roast Pumpkin Seeds

After you win your pumpkin carving competition of course brag all day. But after clean your pumpkin seeds and roast them up. Put all the most amazing flavoured seasoning on them and ENJOY! Follow this link to some fun pumpkin seed recipes.

10. Build a Fort and Watch Scary Movies

I am a huge chicken when it comes to scary movies but Dalton loves them so in the fall I suck it up and watch his favourites. Make it even better by making a blanket fort and cuddling up while watching all the spooky movies.

11. Spend a Weekend at a Cabin in the Woods

Cottaging in the summer is a staple for us but we have never rented a cottage in the fall. I think it would be amazing to get away for a weekend and escape to the woods with your significant other. You can do all the bucket list items while you are there!

12. Support a Local Brewery

Some breweries have fall specials and flavours. Take advantage before the weather gets too cold enjoy a beer flight on a patio with your special someone.

13. Do a Fall Themed Craft

I know Dalton doesn’t love to craft with me so maybe this is more of a friend fall activity. I found a bunch of fall-themed crafts for you guys to check out and try. If you do please use #thecouplesblog to share with us.

14. Binge Harry Potter

I don’t know if this is just a Dalton and I thing. But we binge the Harry Potter series every year in the fall. It is just the perfect series to get you in the spirit of fall/Halloween.

15. Host Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving

As I get older I really want to take on the challenge of hosting a large family holiday dinner. I thought starting with Thanksgiving and maybe moving on to hosting Christmas one day. Or if you wanted (which I would also love to do) is host a Friendsgiving with all your closest friends (keep it small considering 2020 pandemic things). Friends can be more lenient if you burn the turkey haha.

Those are the things I will be diving into this season. Please share with us some of the things you will be doing this season below. That is all I have for you guys this week. Take care everyone and I will talk to you all next week!

Much love,
Brit
