Skincare Routine for Her

Hi everyone, welcome back! This week, I wanted to bring you guys something that was wellness/self-care related. It is the perfect time to take extra good care of your skin, especially you ladies since we have no need to wear makeup. I am going to share with you my entire skincare routine and all the products I use.

A slight disclaimer that my skin tends to be dry and sensitive, so the products I use tend to cater to that. I thought this was great timing since this week the Sephora Spring Sale is going on, you can shop all these wonderful products at a discount. Keep reading to find some great products to integrate into your skincare routine.

Cleanser and Exfoliator

The first step in both my morning and night skincare routine is always cleansing my face. Does anyone else look forward to the end of the day and washing your face? The absolute best feeling in the world to have a clean canvas. I exfoliate once to twice a week and vary depending on the dryness level of my skin.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser: This cleanser has been a holy grail product for me. It is perfect for all skin types and has a light, calming cucumber scent. It works really well taking the dirt off my face and making my face feel clean.

Clinique Exfoliating Scrub: I love this exfoliator. It is gentle yet still exfoliates my skin, removing the dead skin off. I will say that it does have a tingling sensation, it isn’t overpowering and I like it but just so you know.

Makeup Remover and Facial Spray

I use makeup remover wipes after the gym and before I go to bed at night to take off my makeup from the day. Also, I use a facial spray instead of a toner,  as I love the way the fresh spray feels on my clean skin.

OLAY Daily Facials: I have used a ton of makeup removal wipes and these are hands down the best ones I have ever used. They are not wet, so they will never dry out and make it easy to take on the go. It is not only a makeup removal wipe; it is also a foaming cleanser. ONE wipe takes OFF ALL OF MY MAKEUP. I know ladies, that is saying something. When I use the makeup wipe I tend not to cleanse as well as I feel the makeup wipe does the job and I do not want to dry out my face.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray: I use the aloe, cucumber, and green tea scent. What I love about this is the freshness that this spray leaves on my face.

Moisturizers and Eye Cream

I have a lot of moisturizer favourites that all are extra hydrating as I naturally have dry skin. I am sure you are starting to see a trend that I love Fresh products. They are simply made products that are not harsh on my skin. Every product I have used by them, I have ended up loving.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream: This has been a saviour for me this year. If you live where the weather is cold, this will be your best friend. This thick, creamy moisturizer gives your face the hydration it deserves. As a heads up, this is a lounge around moisturizer as it does not cover well with makeup.

Fresh Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer: Of course, I had to throw in a night cream. I go back and forth between using a night mask and a night moisturizer. When I do use a moisturizer, I always reach for this one because it is light while still being extremely moisturizing.

Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream: I’ve used this cream for years, although I switched because it is a little pricey. IT WORKS THOUGH. If you have any kind of redness or pigmentation problem areas, I highly recommend splurging and picking this product up. I had a lot of redness on my cheeks and nose, this cream has helped tremendously. It comes out green but blends in clear and works well applied under makeup.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment: I will be honest I have not tested many different eye creams, but maybe that’s just because this one works so well. I only put this on before bed to give my eyes and crows feet a little extra hydration. I have seen a big difference in the fine lines around my eyes since using this product.

Masks and Tools

Face Masks are the essence of my self-care routine. I love a hydrating face mask, a bubble bath and a glass of wine! Personally, I think you need both a daytime mask and a nighttime mask in your routine as they end up targeting different areas. For the tools that I use in my skincare routine, I don’t have many but two of my ride or dies are listed below.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask: If there is one thing on this entire list please do yourself a favour and purchase this product. I use it as a mask, a moisturizer, and a primer. It is something I have repurchased many times and comes everywhere with me. It is the creamiest and most hydrating mask you’ll ever use and who can beat a product that works as everything.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: This product is for all skin types and is cooling on the skin, exactly what you need when getting ready for bed. It’s also not a super thick sleeping mask which I really like. No one wants a mask all over their pillow.

Foreo Luna Mini 3: I will warn you that this is an expensive product, however it really cleans my face like nothing else. It’s a silicone cleansing brush that vibrates while cleaning your skin. I love this because it is so easy to clean and because it is silicone it doesn’t hold bacteria like other cleansing brushes.

Jade Roller: If you haven’t tried some sort of facial roller you are missing out. I put mine in the fridge for extra de-puffing of my face. The cold roller feels amazing and I can see a difference in how puffy and bloated my face looks when I am finished. Even just a few minutes, morning and night can make all the difference.

I hope you found something that you can add to your skincare routine. The Sephora sale is going on from April 23rd to April 27th. So, like I said before if you saw something you like don’t forget to use their spring code and get it for a deal. While you are taking a few minutes to surf the web don’t forget to enter into our giveaway for an Amazon.ca gift card ending April 30th. That’s it for me this week, please everyone, stay safe and healthy. I will talk to all of you next week.

Much love,
Brit
